Hello blog friends and family. It’s been awhile since we last spoken. I pray that each of you had a Merry Christmas as you all prepare to celebrate a new year coming in. This is the last Sunday of the year and I began to think of the year to come. I decided that this year has been a year of reflection, a year of finding my true self. I have learned so much about me and this knowledge has set me free from other’s expectations and validation of my life. I have never felt freer than I do in this very moment. In the coming year, I want to move forward and remain in this freedom. Deliverance is freely given to whoever seeks it; the hard part is maintaining this deliverance. I decided that this year coming (2014), I was not going to change anything drastic about myself. That’s right! I’m not going to make a list of resolutions that I have no intentions of keeping. I was going to simply seek God and allow Him to continue to show me my true self. This coming year, even though it’s a fresh start, I’m already walking in my newness so I don’t have to do anything crazy to live a blessed life.
This coming year, I decided that I was not going to make any lists and spend a year talking about what I was going to do: instead I was going to just live out the life I desired. I was going to stop talking about going to the gym and just go. I was going to stop talking about eating healthier and just do it. I was going to stop talking about the money I needed to save and instead managed my money wisely. I was not going to talk about not making the same mistakes of last year but instead I was going to truly learn and act out my confessions. This coming year was not going to be a year of just talk but one of action. In this coming year, I am going to love freely, smile more, treasure moments and make even more memories.
I am not making any New Year’s resolutions. I am going to simply live life with God’s help and watch my life transform into the way He desires. This is my year. This is my season of blessing, I can feel it! So I don’t need a list because as I trust God, He is going to do everything He needs to do concerning me. If we do not speak on January 1, 2014 – HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
