That Won’t Be Us

That won’t be us
Trapped in a failed marriage; wondering why we said I do in the first place
That won’t be us
Bickering about finances and business dreams – realizing that our visions do not align.
That won’t be us
Sleeping as the sun has set on our wrath- living our one life separately.
That won’t be us
We have watched other marriages fail
We have witnessed love die
Because everything else came first, before God
Trapped in a state of thirst, not content
But Darling just as I write today, with all sincerity
All authority
I can promise you
That won’t be us.
