Where’s Our Focus?
I thought that one day I would arrive and see a sign saying, “Welcome to Contentment: You’re satisfied here! ” Well that was not the case… I never arrived to the magical land of contentment, but rather I found contentment to be tied to my focus.
Am I Wasting My Time?
“You start to shut down. This security process is not apparent but the guards you have worked so had to put away, retain their post around your heart and walls slowly but surely began to be built.”
I Don’t Need You.

Make It Make Sense.
“Where do the by-laws of our religion condone the injustices of people? Where do its teachings condone the lack of empathy? Where is that written in our code of conduct aka the Bible? In the text, when are those callous sentiments expressed by our leader? The Son of God himself, Jesus the Christ? Where????”
Negative.
“The what-ifs are the worst and they come without permission. They come without warning. Like all terrible things with no mission but to distract, the what-ifs always come. They come and suck the life out of a person, leaving them drained of happiness, courage and grit. I was contending against the possibilities of things taking a turn for the worse.
