“When we go into our relationships seeking to change that individual, we are telling them that they are not enough for us just the way they are. Our words or actions communicate that these individuals we swear to love are not: good enough, kind enough, smart enough, beautiful enough, and etc. After awhile our significant others are knocked out of their throne of awesomeness, their empire of confidence and begin to question what makes them special and unique. “
