Hello old friends, new followers and fellow bloggers-
Are you in love?
Do you love someone deeply?
What if the person you loved, cheated– would you still love them?
How about if that person rejected you, would you still love them?
What if the person you loved, lied? Disappeared? Hid from you? Would you still love them?
Or what if this person, chose to love someone more than you?
Chose to put you on the shelf until they conveniently needed you- would you still love them?
Would you?
It’s funny because many of us would say:”No!” I would not love that person that mistreated me, that tossed me aside. NEEDTOBREATHE has a song call “Return”, off of the album The Heat, and one of the lines says-
“I’m giving you my heart to break again
I’m leaving you a way to get back in”
[(c) NEEDTOBREATHE, Atlantic Recording Corporation…, 2007.]
How many of us would leave our hearts open for those that abused us to return. I know that I would have a problem with this. I would probably shut the door of my heart permanently. I would say ” Listen, I can’t love you anymore.” I just would not be able to love that person again.
The thing is, God keeps His heart open to us- knowing that we will break it every time. He stands there and He watches us walk away and still loves us. He watches us hide from Him, we pull our disappearing act and He still loves us. We even choose to replace God with other people and things and He still loves us. He still love us. I remember when I my loved someone more than Him, and I could hear His Spirit whisper to me “I still love you!”
I didn’t understand everything but I knew that if He wanted to do it again- He would have died again for me, He still loved me. Even after I walked away, I cheated, I rejected, I lied, I hid/disappeared, I chose others before him and yet He still loved me. He still love me regardless of all of my mistakes and short comings- He loves me.
Today, I want to remind you that God still loves you. No matter where you are in life, He loves you and He will love you for all of eternity. He will never stop loving you! I know you messed up, I know you walked away, I know it seemed easier to live without Him- but He still loves you! He is waiting for you to come home, waiting for you to allow Him to love you- He loves you!
He still loves you and will love you for eternity. ❤ ❤ ❤
Until next time,
Mo 🙂
