A Detour

Hello old friends, new followers and fellow bloggers-

I realized that even though you guys are my family and some of my biggest supporters, I kind of didn’t want to name you guys but rather allow you all to name the group yourselves.  I missed the old greeting and therefore, I decided to use that greeting today.  Well.. hello folks!  Today has been an interesting day so far, to say the least.  I’ve been on the phone with clients all day, trying to make sure everyone is happy.  I’ve realized that in this business that is close to impossible. As a legal clerk, I’ve found that the majority of my day has been deciphering between what is true and what is false.  My mind is being trained to skeptical and to think things through before I believe what is spoken to me.  I have to be careful not to bring this mindset into my relationship with God.  Really careful.  Anyways…my dad and I were having a discussion regarding what we desire in life, God’s will and the path that combine the two.   I told him that in life, everything in life is about timing.  There is a time for everything and even though it seems like we will never get to our destination – we will in time.

I was thinking about the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman.  Jesus was on His way to Capernaum, teaching about the kingdom of Heaven- when all of sudden the Bible says He needed to go to Samaria.  Jesus was on His way somewhere when all of a sudden the plan changed and He found himself in this awkward situation in Samaria.  Jesus took a detour to share the Gospel to this woman.  In life, we will go through detours… places of transition.

You can’t get frustrated with where you are and think that is where you are always going to be, no – you’re taking a detour.  On these detours, you never know who God will allow you to meet.  He has people who need to hear your voice of truth, compassion and wisdom along these detours.

Family, please stay encouraged.   God knows what you desire for your life and He has His desires as well – He knows what’s best so please trust him.  You’re not stuck, you’re just going through transition to get to your divine place.  I love you guys and will be keeping you all in my prayers!

Until next time,

Mo 🙂
