Hello old friends, new followers and fellow bloggers-

Happy Tuesday!  I’m trying to be consistent in my writing…😜 anyways,  I hope you all are enjoying this fine day as much as I am.  I’ve been working on pretty much- nothing.  Seriously, I feel like I’m in the twilight zone or something, lol. So, my mom spent some time encouraging me this morning regarding commitment to my conviction of sexual purity before marriage.

I thought I would share with you all, her encouraging words… she said, “Simone, God wants me to encourage you in your commitment to Him by keeping yourself until marriage, you are not the only one still keeping yourself- He has many young men and women waiting for their spouse before they engage in a sexual relationship.” She wanted me to hold on to my convictions and my belief in the promise I made to God a long time ago.

Her words of wisdom were totally unexpected but greatly appreciated because as I look at all of my friends and the girls I made pacts with, I am the only one left that is indeed a virgin.  And I talk to my guy friends who say things that comes across as belittlement because of my lack of experience.  I used to be insecure about my commitment but lately as I’ve embraced who I am in God and my worth in Him,now I am more confident in my convictions….

This is just one example of some  of the convictions I live by, but like me – you guys have convictions that you live by because of your faith or lack thereof.  My faith drives the forces of how I live my life and sometimes that means, I live life differently and that’s okay.  It’s okay to live life differently, it’s okay to go against the grain, against what is deemed socially acceptable- it’s okay.  That’s the beauty of living in the family of God, we are supposed to stand out and live life according to different convictions compared to those around us.

SO I encourage you as my mom encouraged me today: HOLD ON TO YOUR CONVICTIONS!!!! Stay steadfast to what you believe and understand that true confidence is standing up for what is right no matter what.  Stand up for truth and stick to your guns!!!.
