as I read the words in front of me

a heart r-ac-ing

faster than lightening

lines around my eyes tightening

as I fixed them upon these precious words you sent to me

wishing that my heart was as free

as yours

filled with the courage of a lion

instead of these reminders of my past sin

I sit w-ai-ting

Deciding

what to say back to you

out of fear as my face glows

from the truth on this screen

inside I want to scream

these words I do

Babe, I. love. you. too.
