Hello old friends, new followers and fellow bloggers-
Have you ever went on a trip and didn’t pack a single piece of clothing with you?
Have you traveled to Europe and didn’t have a passport?
Have you played a sport and didn’t go through conditioning?
What about going on a interview and knowing nothing about the company?
In life, we face opportunities that force us to make preparations for what’s to come. We have to prepare for the good we desire in our lives. As you know, I go to a mentor-ship class at my church on Thursdays and last Thursday my pastor taught about this very topic. She said that we hope for the good but when good begins to happen we have no idea what to do, because we didn’t prepare for it.
It’s like we wish upon a star and what we wish for shows up on our doorstep but we don’t have room for it to come in. What a tragic feeling? Can you imagine- having what you want in front of you but not being able to receive it because you didn’t prepare?
That would be like torture for me.
Today, I encourage you to make preparations for you want. If that means filling out plenty of job apps in a certain field, or studying the company before you show up, or practicing what you would say to the love of your life when given the chance, do whatever you need to do to prepare for the good that is going to happen in your life. Sometime we have to make room for the good by getting rid of what’s old, bad,or just plain in the way. We do this, so that when good is standing on our doorstep we can freely invite it in to our lives.
Make preparations!
Until next time,
Mo 🙂
