Hello old friends, new followers, and fellow bloggers-
Happy New Year! It’s officially 2020 and I don’t know about you, but I am super excited. I was sitting with the Lord today when the awareness of times and seasons hit my heart. I was filled with both anticipation and expectancy as the words, “It’s time!” began to ring in my ear. “It’s time!” I literally almost lost it as I thought about the power of these two words.
Like many of you, I have spent a portion of the last decade: waiting. I have waited for prayers to be answered, waited for genuine healthy relationships, and I have even waited for “perfect” opportunities. I have spent the last decade in the holding cell, understanding that I was not quite ready for my prayer requests. Yet, now He is whispering hope to me. It’s finally time.
The Father is such a great parent, instead of releasing things in what I thought was the best time, he made me wait. I was listening to a masterclass when the facilitator spoke a powerful statement. At the end of the class, he said, “We don’t give tools to children.” When he said this, something hit me on the inside. What a profound statement? “We don’t give tools to children.” Maybe the Father has not given us what we have been asking for because we are not mature enough. Like a great parent, He will wait until we grow up to release certain things to us. I know He was waiting for me to mature, to make some hard decisions, and to surrender to His way before He decided to release all He has promised to me. Sometimes, we think God didn’t hear our request. He heard us, He just needs us to grow before He places those things in our hands. So, if you spent time waiting, have you also spent that time growing? If not, you have some more waiting to do. Let this year be the year when you choose to grow!
For us that went through the process, for us that submitted to His plan- it’s time. It’s time to experience His promises. It’s time to go after all that He’s placed in front of us. It’s time to reap the harvest of faithfulness. It’s time to live full out. It’s time to love and be loved well. It’s time. Prepare your hearts and make your move.
