the sky is clear

I’m standing here

observing a beautiful sight

in hope that I might

bask in the beauty

of what I see

the moon in all its radiance

haven’t seen a full one since

I was in need of a little hope

I needed to cope

with the fact

that

I was no longer joined with another

our union pulled asunder

yet I looked up towards heaven

counted to seven

and breathed the night sky

then I decided to say hi

to change and to my new life

void of suffering, void of strife

I whispered sweet words

listened to the whispering of the birds

I stared at the moon

knowing that life would get better soon

love mixed with snow flurries was on the way

tomorrow would present a brighter day

hello moon
